The Community
Ensconced in the wooded hills of Naugatuck, the private gated community of KT Estates offers all of the comforts and conveniences of any flourishing community without the congestion and high prices ssociated with other urban areas. Conceived by Rabbi Doniel Lander Shlit”a as a home for a new thriving out-of-town Mesivta and Kollel, KT Estates was carved out of a 48-acre swath of forest adjacent to a 7-acre Yeshiva campus, enabling the community to benefit from the Torah Ruach and vibrancy. Aside from its numerous playgrounds, swimming pool complex, kosher market, and mikva, all of the homes at KT Estates sit on private, manicured lawns and offer access to acres of picturesque, landscaped grounds that are shaded by Connecticut’s stunning foliage. Although secluded and rural, KT Estates is just a 10-minute drive to Waterbury, a short commute to Hartford, New Haven and Stamford and no more than an 80-mile drive to New York City. Kollel Sifsei Dov
One of the crowning features of KT Estates is Kollel Sifsei Dov, comprised of an outstanding group of young talmidei chachamim, headed by the well-known Marbitz Torah, Harav Moshe Makovoz, Shlit”a. Spacious apartments have been built specifically for this cadre of young mishpachos. Kollel Sifsei Dov will, b’Ezras Hashem, imbue your house with the spirit of limud ha’Torah and avodas Hashem.
Mesivta Yesodei HaTorah
Several years ago, the visionary leaders of Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim , the renowned Yeshiva Gedola of Queens, embarked upon actualizing a long-held dream: to build a gated community that would be distinguished by a symbiotic relationship between the community and nearby mesivta and kollel.
Fast forward to today: Under the leadership of menahel Harav Aryeh Reiss, Mesivta Yesodei Ha’torah’s reputation as a premiere makom Torah has become widespread throughout the United States.
The Shul
Work has begun on the community’s new shul, whose rendering is shown below (rendering is pre-COVID) – It promises to be a beautiful place for davening, learning and celebrating in a safe environment, mindful of COVID restrictions.
